No es ninguna sorpresa para todos quienes vieron el tráiler en español del juego, pero ahora Electronic Arts y Double Fine Productions han anunciado que Santiago Segura pondrá la voz en el doblaje español al protagonista de Brütal Legend.
Brütal Legend es una historia de acción creada por Tim Schafer. Jack Black pone la voz (en inglés) y el rostro a Eddie Riggs, un legendario motero sumergido en un mundo de Heavy Metal donde las montañas están hechas con amplificadores, existen arañas asesinas que tejen con cuerdas de guitarra, y donde las leyendas del rock deambulan sin rumbo. Con Eddie podrás destrozar cráneos con un hacha de guerra, saquear la carretera con su bólido y liberar el poder del Rock para que caiga un rayo de fuego desde el cielo.
La voz en castellano del protagonista de Brütal Legend la pone el actor y director de cine Santiago Segura, una de las caras más conocidas del panorama cinematográfico nacional. Segura se hizo popular por su interpretación de un peculiar heavy en la película El día de la bestia de Álex de la Iglesia. Posteriormente, interpretó a otro metalero en Isi/Disi: Amor a lo bestia e Isi/Disi: Alto voltaje acompañado por el también actor y cómico Florentino Fernández. Actualmente se encuentra sumergido en la preparación de la cuarta entrega de la saga protagonizada por otro de sus míticos personajes: el policía Torrente.
Santiago Segura se muestra encantado con su participación en Brütal Legend y ha declarado que "me parece un videojuego muy divertido y original, un proyecto interesante en el que me apetecía estar. Brütal Legend tiene un gran nivel técnico y la banda sonora es como una enciclopedia del rock duro que yo creo que gustará tanto a los que ya disfruten con esta música como a los que la descubran a través de este videojuego".
