(UPDATED) Want to make things even easier than simply using Creative Mode? Here are all the Minecraft cheats you can use to get anything you want.
Like many other games, Minecraft lets you enter commands that activate cheats in certain versions of the game. These are generally available in all PC and mobile versions, but not in every console version. These codes are still valid in 2026, although some commands may not work depending on which version you are playing.
Before getting started, there are a few things you should know about console commands:
- When creating your world, the game will ask whether you want to enable them. Obviously, if you think you might want to use them at some point, you need to select yes.
- If you create a world and use cheats, you will not be able to unlock achievements.
- Depending on the server you are playing on, cheats may not be available.
- Given how extensively the game has been modified since its release, certain commands may not work on some servers, while others may use completely different commands.
How to enter commands
Unlike in many other games, you do not need to open a command console. Simply type the correct command into the chat bar to activate the cheat. If you are playing the desktop version, press the T key to open it. The game’s Pocket Edition has a dedicated button for opening the chat and bringing up the window.
All cheats
Bear in mind that cheats must be entered exactly as they appear in the list, and they all begin with /. Make sure you use the correct spaces, underscores, uppercase letters and lowercase letters. Just to avoid any confusion, the colon at the end is not part of the cheat.
List of parameters
We have also included a list of parameters. Parameters refer to different entities within the game world, including enemies, other players, animals and more. You can add a parameter to a cheat command using the following shortcuts:
- @p: the nearest player.
- @r: a random player.
- @a: all players.
- @e: all entities.
- @s: the entity executing the command.

Enchanting items
- /enchant playername enchantmentname enchantmentlevel
This particular cheat is slightly more complicated. To enter it correctly, you need to understand the following:
- playername is your player name.
- enchantmentname is either the English name of the enchantment or its in-game ID. The game includes a basic autocomplete feature, so if you type "fire_pr", for example, it will suggest "fire_protection".
- enchantmentlevel is an optional part of the cheat that determines the level of the enchantment you want to apply.
- For example, /enchant SaiSaEr fire_protection 3 would apply a level 3 Fire Protection enchantment to the player named SaiSaEr.
Getting any item
- /give playername itemname itemamount
As with the previous command, you need to understand how this cheat works. It is much easier than it looks, so don’t worry:
- playername is your player name.
- itemname is the name of whatever you want to add. It is incredibly easy to use if you know a little English. For example, diamond_block gives you a diamond block, iron_helmet gives you an iron helmet and diamond_pick gives you a diamond pickaxe. As with the previous command, the game includes a basic autocomplete feature to help you while typing.
- itemamount is, as you might expect, the number of copies of that item that will be added to your inventory when you enter the cheat.
Summoning characters and NPCs
- This command spawns whatever you enter under name, provided it exists in the game. For example, skeleton spawns a skeleton, pig spawns a pig, horse spawns a horse, spider spawns a spider, creeper spawns a Creeper, and so on.
- The X Y Z section is optional and determines the exact coordinates along the world’s XYZ axes. If you leave it out, whatever you summon will appear next to you.
Teleporting
There are two versions of the teleport cheat, and they work in completely different ways. Be very careful, as the first one can be tricky to use and may end up killing you.
- /teleport playername X Y Z
In this command, playername is your player name, while X Y Z are the coordinates along the world’s XYZ axes. Bear in mind that if you appear too high above the ground, the fall could kill you.
- /teleport playername ~X ~Y
- This second teleport command is much easier to use and teleports you across a horizontal plane, meaning there is no danger of falling from a great height. It is mainly used to travel long distances.
- Bear in mind that you could appear inside a rock and have to mine your way out, or even end up in a pool of lava if you do not know where you are going.
- playername is, of course, your player’s name.
- ~X represents how far you will move west or east. The number indicates how many blocks you will travel in that direction. If you are moving west, place a - before the number.
- ~Y represents how far you will move north or south. The number indicates how many blocks you will travel in that direction. If you are moving south, place a - before the number.
- For example, /teleport SaiSaEr ~-17 ~54 will move the player named SaiSaEr 17 blocks west and 54 blocks north.
