This PC reference for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition lists 170 distinct cheat effects activated with keyboard codes: 91 for GTA San Andreas, 57 for GTA Vice City and 22 for GTA III. Where two strings trigger the same San Andreas effect, they share one row and count as one effect.
Version note: This guide is only for the 2021 Definitive Edition collection on Windows PC. It does not cover the original PC releases, whose accepted codes and compatibility differ. For the 2005 Windows version of San Andreas, use our original GTA San Andreas PC cheat guide.
Verification status (September 5, 2026): The matrix was cross-checked against extracted Definitive Edition keyboard strings and current PC-focused references for San Andreas, Vice City and GTA III. It documents the complete source-backed list, but does not claim hands-on reproduction on every Windows patch; build-specific disputes are labelled in their rows.

Type a code during normal, unpaused gameplay. Do not open a console and do not press Enter: simply type the complete word or phrase on the keyboard. Codes are not case-sensitive. A confirmation message should appear when the game accepts the entry.
Save warning: Rockstar warns that cheat codes can cause graphical anomalies, scripting errors and even corrupt saved games, and recommends not saving after using them. Create a separate manual save first, use cheats in a disposable session, then reload the clean save without saving. Achievement behavior may vary by game and build; restart and load an unmodified save before attempting achievements.

This version adds Big Head Mode, Drive on Water, Taxi Nitro, Maximum Gambling Skill and Prostitutes Pay CJ, while two classic PC effects are unavailable.

GTA Vice City: The Definitive Edition has 57 documented PC cheat effects. Type a code directly on your keyboard during normal gameplay; there is no command console and you do not need to press Enter. Codes are not case-sensitive.
Important: Create a separate clean save before using any cheat and do not overwrite it. Cheats can interfere with missions, saved progress and achievements. Some effects cannot be safely reversed by entering the code again, so reloading a clean save is the most reliable way to return the game to normal.

Money and ammo: Vice City has no built-in money or infinite-ammo cheat. Entering a weapon-set code again supplies more ammunition, but it does not make ammunition infinite.

Pedestrian aggression and riot effects can disrupt missions. In particular, NOBODYLIKESME and FIGHTFIGHTFIGHT cannot be safely reversed by entering the same code again.

Shoot the Moon is an Easter egg, not a typed cheat code, so it is not included in the total of 57. At night, equip a Sniper Rifle and shoot the moon. Each valid hit cycles it through one of eight apparent sizes; after the eighth, the sequence returns to its starting size. The effect is purely visual.
Grand Theft Auto III – The Definitive Edition has 22 documented cheat effects on PC. Type a code during normal gameplay without pausing or pressing Enter; codes are not case-sensitive.
Save first: use a separate manual save before activating cheats. Cheats can prevent achievements from unlocking, and pedestrian effects may not reverse safely without reloading a clean save.
