Welcome to our Mortal Kombat 1 guide. After Liu Kang restarted the timeline in the hope of creating a better future, the story we once knew has undergone some major changes. Throughout this guide, we'll explain how to unlock every playable and Kameo Fighter, as well as how to perform every Fatality and secret Fatality without having to spend countless hours leveling up each character.
Since Mortal Kombat 1 will continue adding new characters through updates, preorder bonuses, unlock requirements, and DLC, this section will show you how to unlock them all or, where applicable, which DLC pack includes Homelander, Peacemaker, Omni-Man, and more.
One of the game's biggest attractions is its Fatalities: brutal, savage, and bloody finishers. Since you normally have to level up characters to unlock them—unless you already know the inputs—this section of the guide provides every Fatality button combination and explains how the regular unlocking system works.
Kameo Fighters act as support characters during battles. They can interrupt enemy combos, launch their own attacks, and much more. However, not all of them are available from the start, so here we'll explain how the Kameo system works.
The Kameo Fighters in Mortal Kombat 1 also have their own finishing moves, known as Kameo Fatalities. Although there are fewer Kameo Fighters and they have fewer Fatalities than the playable roster, they can still deliver their own bloody—and, of course, lethal—finishing moves.
