One of the biggest and most surprising hits of the indie scene in recent years, it is a fun multiplayer game where players must oversee the proper functioning of a ship by performing all kinds of tasks while trying to unmask the impostors, who are trying to sabotage the facilities and murder other players.
Indie studio Innersloth hit the jackpot with Among Us by proposing something unique and different: a multiplayer experience that blends mystery, strategy, and teamwork for up to fifteen players. They form the crew of a spaceship or space station where, while some players are in charge of carrying out maintenance and operational tasks, others, randomly assigned, are the impostors with the mission to sabotage and eliminate crew members without being caught.
Therefore, the objective of the "good guys," besides completing their assigned tasks, is to try to identify and vote out the impostors, while the latter blend in with the crew members by pretending to do tasks while looking for opportunities to assassinate and sabotage. All of this forces players to communicate with each other during emergency meetings, which can be called after discovering a body or by pressing a button in the meeting room. During these meetings, players discuss their suspicions, defend their innocence, or accuse others, using deception, persuasion, and logic to influence everyone else, creating highly entertaining situations.
