Alone in the Dark: Near Death Investigation, com�nmente conocido como Alone in the Dark (2008), es un videojuego de acci�n-aventura y terror desarrollado por Eden Games y publicado por Atari. Este t�tulo es un reinicio de la ic�nica serie Alone in the Dark, que es considerada una de las pioneras del g�nero de terror de supervivencia. El juego fue lanzado para m�ltiples plataformas, incluyendo Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, y PC.

El reboot de Alone in the Dark

En Alone in the Dark, los jugadores controlan a Edward Carnby, un detective de lo paranormal, quien se encuentra en el moderno Central Park de Nueva York enfrent�ndose a una amenaza sobrenatural que podr�a destruir la ciudad. La trama explora misterios antiguos y modernos, utilizando una narrativa epis�dica que intenta imitar la estructura de una serie de televisi�n con varios episodios que pueden ser "saltados" si el jugador se encuentra atascado, ofreciendo res�menes de episodios al estilo de "anteriormente en...".

Una de las mec�nicas de juego m�s destacadas es el uso innovador de elementos del entorno y objetos para resolver puzles y luchar contra enemigos. Por ejemplo, los jugadores pueden usar fuego de maneras creativas, como encender un objeto para usarlo como antorcha o crear c�cteles Molotov improvisados. Adem�s, el juego incluye una combinaci�n de combate cuerpo a cuerpo, disparos y conducci�n, ofreciendo una variedad de formas de interactuar con el entorno y los enemigos.

Visualmente, Alone in the Dark intent� establecer un nuevo est�ndar para los juegos de terror con gr�ficos detallados y efectos de iluminaci�n realistas que aumentan la atm�sfera tensa y aterradora del juego. Las secuencias de acci�n y los entornos destructibles est�n dise�ados para sumergir a los jugadores en el caos que se despliega en Central Park y sus alrededores.

Sin embargo, en cuanto a la recepci�n cr�tica y la percepci�n de la comunidad de jugadores, Alone in the Dark recibi� cr�ticas mixtas a negativas. Mientras que la ambici�n del juego y algunas de sus ideas innovadoras fueron elogiadas, la ejecuci�n de estas ideas a menudo fue criticada por su falta de pulido. Los problemas t�cnicos, una interfaz de usuario complicada y una jugabilidad a veces frustrante empa�aron la experiencia para muchos jugadores. Es un pedazo de juego en general ,ya se hicieran juegos como este para el 2009,y tambien que el analisis que le a dado vandal es una puta mierda,no tienen ni idea,.
