La conocida y prestigiosa publicación EDGE ha actualizado su lista de los 100 mejores juegos de la historia, añadiendo y ajustando los videojuegos integrantes con respecto a la última edición, que data de 2015. La nueva versión para el presente 2017 -que puede adquirirse aquí- incluye juegos como The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, que arrebata a Dark Souls el primer puesto.
El criterio de EDGE valora únicamente una entrega por saga en relación a secuelas directas, si bien varios juegos de una serie puede permanecer por características únicas y propias sin dejarse llevar por la nostalgia o la importancia histórica de la misma.
