Información del vídeo de la réplica anterior:

This morning, Capcom uploaded a brand new video, featuring Shintaro Kojima (Producer) and Inoue Satoshi (a Japanese comedian, who is a huge fan of Monster Hunter). It lasts over 25 minutes, and showcases the various Hunting Styles and Hunting Skills (the famous special “flashy” attacks). Unfortunately, there’s a little catch… it’s entirely in Japanese!

It allows us to learn that you need to go to the Item Box in order to chose your Hunting Style, but also up to three Hunting Skills (the special “flashy” attacks). Then, when in battle, hitting monsters allows you to fill a gauge for each of the three Hunting Skills. When they’re filled, you can tap the icons on the touch screen in order to launch your special attacks.

Monster Hunter X Introduces A New Mode That Lets You Play As A Felyne

Capcom revealed a new feature at their Tokyo Game Show 2015 Monster Hunter X stage called “Nyanter Mode” that lets you play as a Felyne.

As shown in the above screens, in Nyanter Mode, you’ll get to pretty much do everything a Hunter would do, such as gathering, exploring, and fighting monsters, but as a Felyne.

More details on the new Nyanter Mode will be revealed in the near future.

Bastante chulo lo de ser gato. ¿Es un modo especial o puedes jugar enteramente como gato (como si fuera un cazador)?

In Nyanter Mode, you can play Monster Hunter X as a Felyne Palico. Nyanters have lower attack power than Hunters and can’t carry items, but their basic operation is the same and they excel in mobility and providing various support. Their number of remaining lives is represented by acorns in the upper left-hand corner of the display, and when you die, you can resurrect on the spot by eating an acorn. Dying without any acorns to revive you will be treated the same as when a Hunter dies.

Up until now, the friendly Felynes have been there for you as Palicoes, and this time they’ll get to have their opportunity to be their own Hunters, er Nyanters, rather.

While in Nyanter Mode, you can take control of them to go on quests just like a regular Hunter. So that means they can go gathering, exploring, or even on quests to fight monsters.

Additionally, you’ll get to play in Nyanter Mode while other players play as Hunters. So that means you can join three other Hunters on a quest and join them as a Nyanter Felyne.

While playing as a Felyne, you’ll get to throw boomerangs and other Felyne features. They can gather at about double the speed as Hunters, and can also dig down. While digging, you won’t be able to attack enemies but you can use it to prevent getting hit, since being below the ground means taking no hits or damage.

The acorns shown on the top-left of the screen can be consumed whenever a Felyne gets KO’d, and doing so will allow them to revive. Think of it as an extra pair of lives.

The Nyanters aren’t as strong as Hunters, but you can use all of their abilities such as the healing flutes, Shock Traps, or even some of their newer abilities like the Trampoline, shown at the 4:40 mark of the video. And yes, Felynes can also mount monsters by using jump attacks.

While you can go Nyanter Mode and join your Hunter friends on quests, there will also be quests that you can only do as Nyanters, so you can look forward to that as well.
