The US version of White Knight Chronicles will be getting a few new features not found in the original, including the ability for the player to create his or her own in-game village, which can then be populated with NPCs. This village can also serve as a hub for multiplayer sessions. Although not new to the English version, White Knight Chronicles will continue to feature a Facebook-style networking component that will be used in conjunction with the multiplayer mode. Players can create personal pages and friends can post comments on these in-game blogs. Sweet.

The game's already out in Japan and it's been given a Mature rating here by the ESRB, but Konami and Sony still aren't saying anything about it. Is a U.S. version project even real?
The answer is "yes." I know because I found Metal Gear Solid on a PSPgo today.

A side-scrolling, four-player action brawler based on the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles In Time Re-Shelled will kick off the Summer of Arcade, and release on July 22 worldwide exclusively on Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and later this year on the PlayStation®Network.
“Given that this is the 25th anniversary ‘shell-ebration’ of the creation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles property we’re delighted to partner with Ubisoft to release an updated version of the hugely popular Turtles in Time arcade game,” said Gary Richardson, CEO of Mirage Studios. “The Turtles have fans of all ages, and we’re excited to bring the game back to the long-time fans, as well as introduce Turtles in Time to a new generation of gamers.”
"We're excited to rekindle the enthusiasm for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time arcade classic with Ubisoft’s enhanced downloadable version," said Careen Yapp, vice president of licensing and business development at Konami. "The TMNT brand is world renowned and we will continue our commitment to support the endeavor in bringing the next downloadable addition to the franchise to Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network players around the globe.”
“It has been a ton of fun working with Mirage on the TMNT brand, beginning back in 2007 in conjunction with the release of the CGI Turtles film,” said Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft. “We’re definitely ‘shell-ebrating’ the 25th anniversary in style, starting with the release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled and continuing with the release of an entirely new Turtles’ game – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles™: Smash-Up – later this year.”
Originally released as an arcade game by Konami in 1991, Turtles in Time became Konami’s bestselling arcade title, hailed for its adherence to the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles material. The upcoming re-release will feature updated graphics, but it will stay true to the original feel of the arcade game.
TMNT fans will be able to play an early version of the game by visiting the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Party Bus during its national tour. The Party Bus has begun a cross-country 10-city tour that will include playable kiosks of the game, TMNT memorabilia and interactivity for all to enjoy. Wipeout HD Fury Expansion. The WipEout HD Fury expansion pack will increase the content of your current game with 8 new tracks, 13 new ship models and 3 new game modes, 2 of which will be available for online play! In addition there will be new trophies to attain, a re-styled front-end and a selection of new & improved multiplayer functionality!
The Eliminator game mode will allow you to release all that pent-up aggression as you use the full arsenal of Wipeout weaponry to destroy your opponents. Forget those racing lines; this is all about destruction, with the victor being the first to reach the target score!
Zone Battle is about risk and reward! Acceleration is automatic as you swoop over zone pads to fill your zone bar. Your choice is whether to use the bar to increase your speed and boost your ship ever closer to the target zone or absorb it to replenish vital lost energy. Warning, avoid the ‘zone barriers’, obstacles left on the track by your opponents as they boost towards the target zone, hitting these can literally destroy your hopes of victory!
Our Detonator mode introduces a brand new ship model to the game that will test both your piloting skills and your shooting accuracy as you accelerate through as many as 14 stages. Score points by destroying the mines that have been strewn along the track and take out the bomb on each stage to earn additional points. The more accurate you are the more points and bonuses you will score!
Just like the original WipEout HD, all the new content will be released in glorious 1080p resolution and will run at a smooth 60fps.

God of War 3.
The July issue of PlayStation: The Official Magazine (PTOM) features God of War 3 on its cover, and inside includes the first new info. on the game since Sony unveiled it back in February.
Kicking things off, lead combat designer Adam Puhl goes into detail on the game's Spider-Man-style grappling ability, which essentially takes the grapple points from God of War 2 and places them on the game's enemies. "At any point, if there's an enemy on the ground, in the air, wherever, Kratos can throw his blades at them, pull himself into that enemy [or pull the enemy over, or toss the enemy left or right], and perform a shoulder ram," he says. "When it hits, the game slows down, so you get this impactful attack, and you can continue to combo after that...the combat grapple is a linker for the entire combat system."
While the article doesn't reveal any new weapons, it confirms there will be four "main" ones in the finished game, so that leaves two (in addition to the blades and the Cestus) that have yet to be revealed. Apparently each weapon will be tied to its own magic attacks, and one of the Cestus' magics sees Kratos "pound the ground to send a massive wave of destruction in front of him," according to PTOM 's Teresa Dun. Puhl notes that magic attacks "will have more gameplay [than magics in previous God of War games]" and that "there'll be more interesting things that you can do" with them."
Another change to the game's mechanics is the addition -- or perhaps I should say rebranding -- of what the game calls "items." Puhl explains that players hesitated to use the Wind Bow in God of War 2 because it shared the same power bar as other, stronger magic attacks, so the developers created the "items" distinction to encourage players to use them more often. Items (such as the previously revealed Fire Bow and Helios' Head) will have their own power bar, which will automatically refill, so there's limited punishment for using them.
PTOM also had a chance to see a few new scenarios from the game for their story, the most newsworthy being the boss fight with Hades. As Dun describes it, the fight takes place in a "circular space" surrounded by souls that Hades can pick up and throw at Kratos, and at one point in the battle Hades tries to steal Kratos' soul from his body in a button-mashing tug of war.
That's it for now, but we'll have much more God of War 3 coverage on Tuesday, when Sony will bring the game by 1UP's E3 setup for an in-booth video demo and we'll get our first hands-on time with the game. Check out our E3 hub page for more details on what to expect from the show.

Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing anunciados.SEGA® Europe Ltd. and SEGA® America, Inc., today announced Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing, a fast and furious battle to the finish line in this supercharged racer. Developed for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system, PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system, the home video game system, Wii™ and the Nintendo DS™ system, Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing will speed into stores in early 2010.
In a frantic battle to the chequered flag, Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing sees Sonic and friends speed around tracks set in mediaeval castle ramparts, lush rainforests and bustling cities, all taken from the visually rich and varied universes of Sonic and SEGA. Fan favourites such as Dr. Eggman, Tails, AiAi, Amigo and many more will join Sonic in their custom built vehicles, revving their engines and jostling to stay ahead of the pack. Each character will race around the track in cars, planes, motorbikes, and in AiAi’s case – a banana mobile! Secret short cuts, swift handling and avoiding strategically placed obstacles are certainly the best way to get to the top of the podium.
“Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing is no ordinary racing game. Its huge variety of characters and vehicles, plus the ability to play both online and off set it apart from other games of this type” commented Gary Knight European Marketing Director, SEGA Europe Ltd. “The team have pushed the boundaries on what you would normally expect and created a different and unique party racing title whereby you really can’t take anything for granted!”
And winning is only part of the fun in Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing! Each character has a specific All Star move such as Super Sonic, Banana Blitz and Tails Tornado, allowing a quick way for competitors to get back into the race! Power ups and weapons can also be collected around the tracks and used against the opposition to ensure they don’t become a threat to that number one position… Players can battle it out in single or multiplayer mode, allowing up to four friends to race in frantic split-screen action, or up to eight players to compete online in the ultimate racing showdown.
Can Amigo scramble Dr. Eggman? Will AiAi say bye-bye to Tails? Are you gonna be faster than Sonic? The race will start in 2010… For more information please visit: www.sega.com/sonicracing.

Sega no presentará nada especialmente novedoso en el E3 pero confirma que el viernes hará un anuncio. Se especula que Yakuza 3 podría confirmar versión occidental, o port de Virtua Fighter 5 R (actualmente sólo en arcades).
- Square podría tener un MMO para PlayStation 3 y PC.A few days ago we broke the news regarding Square Enix’s E3 plans, which included the announcement of three all new games. At the time of writing we had been requested to not divulge the names or giveaway said titles, but we’ve just received new information about one of those three games that comes with no such restrictions. So here we go…
Contrary to what we were originally told, there will be a Square Enix press conference after all, at 11a.m on the Wednesday of the show. This will be a portal for selected media to learn more about one of Square Enix’s currently unannounced games, which we can reveal is an MMO codenamed Rapture, and set for release on PS3 and PC. The game is expected to be unveiled at the Sony press conference on the Tuesday.
While the PC and Xbox 360 have shared a strong software relationship over the last three years, the PC and PS3 have a more open rapport when it comes to online interactivity between the software and the gamers. It seems bizarre given Microsoft’s networking know-how, but the heavy restrictions it puts in place with the way developers can manipulate and engage their audience through Xbox Live makes it difficult for some games to make the most of their potential. Also worthy of note is the fact that the PS3 is free to play online, and it is more flexible in the headsets, keyboards and mice that can be used with it than the Xbox 360.
A classic precedent for all this is Epic Games’ decision to launch Unreal Tournament III on PS3 and PC well ahead of Xbox 360, claiming that Sony’s console better facilitated what they wanted to achieve in access and distribution of user-created Mods.
All that said and done, MMOs have still struggled to find the success on consoles that they have on PCs: even Square Enix own Final Fantasy XI failed to impress. It should be noted, however, that the company has used the term MMO, not MMORPG, which means it could be something totally unexpected.

The best thing: the embargo/NDA goes soon.
